Christmas 2009

I would have to say that Kayleigh came out a winner this year for Christmas! Kayleigh got a glow board, barbie jeep, barbie car, two barbies, shoes, clothes, purse, lipgloss out the wazoo, money, wallet, Barbie cash register, Barbie Rockin' guitar, games, books, markers, pens, new dishes for her kitchen, new play food, an apron and I can't remember the rest!

Santa brought us a BIKE!

Kayleigh asked Santa for a dancing Barbie (check), a Barbie Jeep (check) and a bike (check)! I guess someone was a good little girl (for the most part)

Kayleigh the Tool Girl Shaw

Grandpa got Kayleigh some tools for Christmas since she is always wanting to help fix things, hang out in the garage while he is working on things, etc. Here is my lil tool girl!

WHITE CHRISTMAS

We were lucky this year and actually had a white Christmas! Here are some pics of Kayleigh stomping around in the snow!

Gaylord Texan

We met Holly, Tilley and Stanton out at the Gaylord at the beginning of the month. Here are some pictures that we took while we were there.

Sweet N Sassy birthday party!

Today Kayleigh went to her friend Kaylas birthday party at Sweet N Sassy! The girls had a BLAST! They rode in the pink limo - just for the two girls, got a pedi and mani, got an updo, got sprayed with glitter, walked the runway and just had a fun time! PLUS, it is snowing here, so that is pretty exciting as well!!

Ears Pierced??

Kayleigh woke up last weekend and wanted to get her ears pierced. So, off to Sweet N Sassy we went. She picked out the earrings, sat in the chair, got her ears marked and they were ready to go, they were going to count to three and on 2 she said WAIT, I CHANGED MY MIND! So, we will wait until she thinks she is ready again.

School Spirit

Kayleigh goes to Plano West High School! Yes, I have a high schooler! ha ha, only kidding! Kayleigh is in the Plano West HS Early Learning program and they just got in their school shirts and Thursdays are school shirt day. As you can see in the pictures, Kayleigh is not being a trooper for the camera because Mommy would NOT paint her fingernails BLUE with BLACK WOLF PAWS. Sad thing is, I would have done it IF I had the time, but I had to go to that place called WORK.

3D movie party!

Kayleigh and I had a 3-D movie watching party (Shrek 3D)the other night, it was all fine and dandy until Shrek pulled out spiders and in 3D it looked like they were all over the bed and going to crawl on her. Well, she FREAKED out, SCREAMED, and immediately wanted me to turn the movie off! She was done with it. It took some convincing to get her to watch Polar Express in 3D. I think she thinks that is real. Well, it was quite humorous to me!

Old Time Christmas pictures

Back in November we went out to Venus, TX to meet our photographer for some Old Time Christmas pics. Here are just a few of the 50 pictures we received on cd from the photographer.

SANTA

Today Kayleigh went and saw the "real" Santa, not one of the helpers that is at the mall, but the real Santa! We have seen the same Santa ever since Kayleigh was born!

Here are some pre-Santa pics and Kayleigh petting the reindeer while I stood in line!

Hanging out with Sarah!

We spent sometime with Sarah and the gang this weekend and here are some of the pics from us taking the girls to feed the ducks and playing at the park!

Waiting on Santa to arrive

Today we went to Allen for the arrival of Santa and the lighting of the Christmas tree. We got there with plenty of time to spare, so Kayleigh played in the little town area they have for kids, saw the reindeer (Donner and Blitzen), saw Mrs. Claus and gave her a nice big hug, sat in Santa's sleigh, took pics by the big Christmas tree, ran into some friends and hung out with them for awhile and FINALLY Santa arrived and lit up the Christmas tree! Go Santa, Go Santa . . .

SPECIAL DELIVERY!

Kayleigh talks to Ms. Kim (from Grandpas work) quite often on the phone and is always talking about how she loves Targer, Hello Kitty and pickles. So, Ms. Kim sent Kayleigh a special gift from Target. Kayleigh got several pairs of Hello Kitty socks, a Hello Kitty notebook, Hello Kitty stickers and a cool Target bag as Kayleigh puts it. So, THANK YOU KIM for all of the really neat stuff!!

Pajama party day

Kayleigh had pajama party day at school last week. So, Grandma bought her some new pj's and slippers to wear to school. They got to bring their favorite stuffed animal to school (pink bear), they read stories by flashlight and just had a fun day at school.

ABC's . . .

Kayleigh LOVES to sing her ABC's . . .

Fun with the cousins

Nolan and Addison spent the weekend with Kayleigh and they had fun. We went to Kayleigh's t-ball game, went to take Christmas pictures, went to eat, played basketball, rode bikes, did some art work on the driveway via side walk chalk, played in the leaves, went to the movies and more. It was a fun filled weekend that wore me out!
